ABOUT ME
My name is Carmel Wilderink, I am a 22 years old passionate product designer based in Amsterdam. When it comes to design, my vision is that ‘good design’ meets the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics, clarity in complexity and attention in every detail. For me, powerful design is where the complexity has been reduced to its simplest form. Dieter Rams is one of my examples that is able to translate the power of "less is more" like no other into a product. I like to think at detail level because I believe design can stand out most when there is paid attention to the smallest details and therefore distinguish itself.
From an early age, design has always been my greatest interest. It intrigues me how design can evoke affection and influence the viewer's behavior. I love new experiences and being constantly inspired by new things, people en nature.
I am particularly interested in CMF research, experience design, graphic design, influencing moods through visuals and products, interactive installations and meaningful design processes.
